Reference from former employer

Since 15 April 1998, Maria Anderberg has been employed full-time as an art director, graphic designer and designer at the production agency Art-O-Matic AB. At the time of writing, that’s just over 23 years.

Art-O-Matic is one of Sweden’s oldest production agencies, founded in 1991. The company offers graphic design and original production for all media. The work is done on both Mac and PC and the programmes mainly used are Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Our clients are mostly large companies and government agencies.

In the spring of 2020, the pandemic struck. All production related to fairs and events was cancelled. Many marketing efforts were put on hold. Thanks to the support for short-term work, we have survived, but now after a year, things are getting tough. There are no finances to continue the company in its current form. Therefore, I see no other solution than to let Maria go and she makes her last day as a permanent employee at Art-O-Matic 2021-05-31.

One of Maria’s strengths is her breadth. She knows all about colour spaces, image resolutions and technical requirements for different media. In addition to her technical expertise, she has an excellent sense of colour, form, illustration, language and communication. She has been an asset when it comes to text editing and proofreading.

At Art-O-Matic, Maria has created graphic profiles, logos, annual reports, catalogues, advertisements, exhibitions and more, often in direct dialogue with the customer. Maria also handles all Office programmes with ease and has provided our customers with advanced Word templates and presentation material in PowerPoint.

Our customers have appreciated her sense of service and organisation skills. She is proactive, collaborative and never sits idle unnecessarily. Her concentration never seems to waver and she starts, implements and finalises projects in the best possible way, including timekeeping and invoicing. Suppliers have appreciated her competent ordering and her straightforward communication.

It has been such a pleasure to work with Maria! I appreciate her both as a friend and as a professional. She is always open to new ways of working and enjoys continuous development. Her determination and high ambitions will certainly help her in the future as well.

She has never hesitated to take on any task and has completed all of them in an exemplary manner. It is with sadness that I am letting her go and we hope to use her on a freelance basis in the future. I give her my warmest recommendations and am happy to provide a reference whenever needed.
